Fe for a Cure celebrates record fundraising totals

Fe for a Cure runner

Thank you to everyone who volunteered for, participated in, helped promote, or came out and cheered on participants at this year’s Fe for a Cure. Here are the official fundraising totals that were announced by the SRHC Foundation last week.

The 10th annual Fe for a Cure on September 20 celebrated a “Decade of Hope” and raised a record-breaking $79,183 to support patients at the Tammy Walker Cancer Center. Registrations, memorial/honorary ribbon sales, donations and raffle items raised $39,183. A matching contribution of $40,000 from an anonymous donor was also received. Thanks to support from the event’s sponsors, 100% of the funds raised are directed to enhance patient programs and services at Tammy Walker Cancer Center including the appearance center, free patient meal program, transportation assistance, and Morrison House.

Fe for a Cure 2025 also set records with 1,214 registered participants and 173 volunteers assisting on race day. Runners came from 64 Kansas communities, eight states and one person even registered from Canada. This year’s Fe for a Cure was the third largest race ever held in Salina (surpassed only by the 2023 and 2024 Salina Crossroads Marathons).
